Red-veined sorrel is a beautiful perennial herb with a productive season which runs from March until the first frost.
Sorrel is easy an easy-to-grow herb, that prefers damp soil, so in summer be sure to give the plants a little more water, the sorrel red vein is one of the last plants to die down for winter and one of the first to reappear in the spring.

This herb has lovely green leaves with a deep red/purple vein and will add a delicious sharp lemon flavour to your dish, be it a salad, soup or sauce.
Red sorrel contains good amounts of vitamins C and A and some B vitamins

How to grow Sorrel Red Vein
Sow March-September
How?
For baby leaves, sow thinly from April to September, 0.5cm (1/4in) deep in rows 25-30cm (10-12in) apart. Sow seed in succession every 2-3 weeks for a continuous supply of fresh baby leaves.
Keep soil moist and cut leaves from each plant, leaving some leaves on each, so they re-grow. You will often get 3-4 cuttings per plant.
