An attractive lime green Italian lettuce, which produces an emerald mound of frilly leaves. Biondi has a loose heart making it less appealing to slugs than the headed varieties.
It will continue to grow while just picking the outer leaves and tastes great in a mixed salad along with Lollo Rossa, which we have been growing ourselves in our patch.
Did you know? Lettuce contains nutrients such as Vitamin C, Iron, Vitamin D and Magnesium.

How to grow Lollo Biondi
Sow seed on the soil surface and barely cover. Do not allow the seedbed to get really dry.
For best results, sow under glass and transplant into final bed when they are ready.
