🌱 Sowing & Growing Instructions

🗓️ When to Sow:

• Indoors: February – April

• Outdoors: April – June (when soil warms)

📦 How to Sow:

1. Sow 1 seed per cell or pot in moist compost.

2. Cover lightly and place in a bright, warm spot (15–20°C).

3. Germination usually takes 10–21 days.

4. Grow on in pots until large enough to handle.

🌿 Planting Out:

• Harden off young plants before transplanting.

• Plant in fertile, well-drained soil in full sun.

• Space plants 75cm apart – they grow large!

🌾 Growing Tips:

• Don’t harvest in the first year – let plants establish.

• From the second year, harvest a few stalks per plant in spring/summer.

• Always pull (not cut) stalks and never remove more than half at a time.

• Mulch annually with well-rotted manure or compost.
